1. Renesas Electronics Corporation

  • June 20, 2024: Renesas Electronics Corporation, a leading provider of cutting-edge semiconductor solutions, has successfully acquired Transphorm, Inc., a renowned global leader in gallium nitride (GaN) technology. Now that the acquisition has been finalized, Renesas is ready to provide GaN-based power products and reference designs to meet the growing demand for wide bandgap (WBG) semiconductor products.
  • July 31, 2024: Renesas Electronics Corporation has announced the successful completion of its acquisition of Altium Limited, a global leader in electronics design systems. The announcement of the agreement to acquire Altium was made on February 15, 2024. The partnership allows Renesas and Altium to develop a cutting-edge electronics system design and lifecycle management platform. The platform would integrate and standardize electronic design data and functions, improve component lifecycle management, and enable seamless digital design process iteration to boost productivity. This speeds up innovation and decreases system designer entry barriers by decreasing development resources and inefficiencies.

2. Amphenol Corporation

3. Keysight Technologies

  • March 28, 2024: Keysight Technologies has announced its intention to buy Spirent Communications PLC's entire issued and to be issued share capital for a cash consideration of 199 pence per Spirent share, valued at approximately USD 1,463 million on a fully diluted basis. Keysight sees Spirent's business as highly appealing and complementary to Keysight's long-term software-centric solutions approach. Keysight thinks there is strategic synergy between the two companies and that the complementing technologies will assist customers in addressing technical challenges. Keysight and Spirent are focused on enabling secular technological megatrends in various end areas, including communications, aerospace and defense, automotive, and enterprise. With Spirent's products, Keysight anticipates addressing new serviceable accessible market possibilities worth up to USD 1.5 billion.
